Preventative Care Exam
Existing adult patients will always have at least one annual exam, often scheduled in conjunction with their routine hygiene appointment. Children under 14 are evaluated at every hygiene appointment. This is our standard of care for all existing patients, allowing the dentist, together with the input of the hygienist, to assess changes in dental health from year to year.
Radiographs (x-rays) are taken of the back molars, along with single teeth views (PA’s) as necessary. The clinicians will check for signs of oral cancer, developing cavities, loss of integrity in existing dental fillings/crowns and the assess health of your gums.
A preventative care exam typically takes about 5-10 minutes.
